Life In Balance

It’s a moment. A moment of thinking about life.
Life… oh how messy, dirty, and stinky it is. It’s not perfect… although I would like it to be and at least don’t want people to know it’s not great for me. As many twists and turns I have made. Experienced so much that I should be an expert in it. Yet, it loves to prove me wrong.
And than it has the nerve to give a crushing feeling and look at me like what, what’s the problem?
Are you serious?
I didn’t need that extra-ness that just got put on my plate… the guess what, that it can’t help me with.
What is really good?
Life makes you want to snarl at it. It is so disrespectful. So inappropriate. And in the midst of the fight with life, You say, don’t smack the crap out of it but turn the other cheek.
Huh? What you mean? (In my NY accent)
Did you just see what it did? It pulled a fast one and now it’s laughing. But You say smile back at it and give it to You.
You know what? That’s not a bad idea. I have to chuckle because it has no idea who it decided to pick a fight with and make look dirty. Yeah, I may look and sound like an emotional mess with stinkage to others but that’s ok… that’s what happens when you are in a fight. But let’s not forget I clean up nice because the battle has already been won.
I know I just need to keep moving through it to see it before my eyes. So, in the meantime, I can hold my head up high in the dirt, in the fire, in the pig pen… because I’m coming out. And although I felt alone going in… I was never alone… You don’t just show up but You are always there and You show all that I was just there to be a witness because You did the fighting on my behalf. We stood together, with me trusting You got this.
So in a nutshell, life is a whole mess, but You are above it. You are my friend that sticks closer than a brother.
